SVS-50 multi jig

Two in one: Device with two interchangeable holders (open and closed) for different types of tools. For sharpening gouges (carving tools), straight and rounded turning tools, parting tools and roughing tools. For tools with a width of 25 - 50 mm or 32 mm. Suitable for TORMEK T-8, T-4 and older models. Incl. PL-01 profile labels (9 pieces).

The SVS-50 multi jig is easy to use. The SVS-50 multi jig is like two jigs in one:

Most chisels can be sharpened precisely with the closed holder. The chisels can have a rectangular or rounded blade and a straight or rounded cutting edge. The carving or turning tool is mounted vertically in the centre of the jig: this means it only needs to be clamped once to sharpen it from both sides. To grind the second bevel, the jig is simply turned upside down. This results in a symmetrical grinding pattern.

The special design of the jig also allows chisels with an oval profile or rectangular blades to be sharpened. The device always holds the chisel parallel to the universal support. This means that both straight and rounded cutting edges can be sharpened. For woodturning chisels with a maximum width of 32 mm.

The combination with the TTS-100 setting gauge for turningtools is expressly recommended for sharpening turning tools. This allows the shape and cutting edge angle to be easily and precisely reproduced time and time again. This not only saves time, it also removes as little material as possible and the tools have a long service life.

SVS-50 MULTI JIG WITH OPEN HOLDER FOR WIDE GOUGES, ROUGHING TUBES, CUT-OFF STEELS

The open holder is used to fix tools whose cutting edges are ground at right angles to the shank. The open holder is ideal for sharpening parting steels, roughing tubes and wide gouges for carving.

In combination with the BGM-100 bench grinder mounting set for double grinding and polishing machines, the SVS-50 multi jig can also be used on a double grinding machine - if, for example, tools need to be reshaped and a lot of material needs to be removed (be careful not to overheat the cutting edge!). Once the rough shape has been produced on the grinding and polishing machine, the cutting edge is brought to its final sharpness with a TORMEK.

Includes PL-01 profile labels for easy set-up and precise reproducibility.
