The KAPRA chisels made of forged steel are individually forged by hand in the small traditional forge EID in Metten, Bavaria. They are ideal for working medium-hard stone up to the hardness of limestone and marble. The special quality of the chisels lies in the optimum hardness of the tip and cutting edge - for a long service life of the sculpting tools and great stability at the same time. In an interview with bildhau, the owner of the forge Reiner Eid explains what is special about his tools and how they are made.
KAPRA chisels with a mallet head are particularly suitable for striking with a wooden mallet. KAPRA chisels with a mallet head have a forged head with a wide shape to protect the striking tool. The wood of the mallet is less damaged and therefore wears out more slowly.
