MORE INFO
Polyurethane casting resin with higher viscosity, longer pot life and demoulding time for large moulds.
Two-component polyurethane system. PU casting resin PC39 (component A) + PU hardener G226 (component B).
Odourless. For large models, moulds and negatives. Very good moulding, fast curing, low heat development (exothermic reaction), low shrinkage, especially when fillers are added. Differs from PC 26 in that it has a longer pot life. Is moulded in thin or thicker layers. Fillers can be added depending on the layer thickness. Good pigmentability, mixes well with bronze and other metal powders.
Application:
Shake the closed resin container (component A) well before use so that any deposits can dissolve. Carefully mix component A and component B (PU hardener G226) in a weight ratio of 100:100 and apply quickly. Ensure that all objects that come into contact with the polyurethane resin are absolutely dry, otherwise curing may be disturbed or undesirable foaming may occur.
Can be thickened with fillers. Shrinkage is reduced by the extensive use of fillers. If fillers (component C) are used, weigh component A, component B and component C in a weight ratio of 100:100:300. To obtain particularly light objects, a very light filler can also be used in a weight ratio of 100:100:150. First mix the larger quantity of filler with component B (PU hardener) and the smaller quantity with component A (PU casting resin). Then mix both compounds carefully and process quickly.
